Terms of Service
Effective October 3, 2026 · Last revised October 5, 2026
01Acceptance of terms
By inviting, adding, accessing, or using the Botzilla Discord bot ("the Service", "the Bot", "we", "us", or "our") in any Discord guild, direct message, or group chat, or by accessing this website, you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms") and our Privacy Policy.
If you do not agree to all of these Terms, you must remove the Bot from your Discord server immediately and stop using our services.
02Compliance with Discord terms
Botzilla runs on Discord. As a user or server administrator, you must follow all of Discord's policies, including but not limited to:
Using Botzilla to break Discord's terms or guidelines is prohibited. If you do, you will be blacklisted and your access ended immediately.
03Description of service and licence
Botzilla provides utilities (such as reminders, personal notes, QR codes, a calculator and timestamps), games (such as Tic-Tac-Toe, Rock-Paper-Scissors, 8-Ball and yes-or-no answers), server tools (such as welcome messages and cards, counting channels and join-to-create voice rooms), and lookups through public APIs (including DuckDuckGo, NASA's Astronomy Picture of the Day, jokes and animal pictures).
We grant you a revocable, non-exclusive, non-transferable, limited licence to use the Bot for non-commercial purposes in Discord communities, in line with these Terms.
04Acceptable use and prohibited conduct
You agree NOT to use the Bot to:
- Abuse, spam, flood, or overload the Bot or its servers with excessive commands, automated scripts, or attempts to get around rate limits.
- Exploit bugs, security vulnerabilities, or glitches. If you find a vulnerability, report it to our support team promptly.
- Store, schedule, or share illegal content, hate speech, harassment, malware, or sexually explicit content targeting minors.
- Upload welcome card backgrounds you don't have the right to use, or that break Discord's rules. We may delete uploads that do.
- Attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, or steal our code or server-side configuration without express permission.
- Impersonate the Bot, its developer, or its staff.
05Service availability and changes
Botzilla is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis. We do not guarantee that it will run without interruption, securely, or without errors. We may:
- Change, update, deprecate, or remove any command or feature at any time without notice.
- Pause the service for updates, bug fixes, database maintenance, or emergency hosting work.
- Shut down the Bot or any related website permanently, at our discretion.
06Disclaimer of warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Bot and all associated services are provided without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title, and non-infringement.
We make no promise that results from the Bot (including calculator results, web summaries, or third-party API data) will be accurate, up to date, or free of errors.
07Limitation of liability
In no event shall Botzilla, its developers, hosting providers, or affiliates be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, use, goodwill, or other intangible losses arising out of or in connection with your use or inability to use the Bot.
08Termination and access revocation
We may, without notice or liability, suspend, blacklist, or end access to the Bot for any user or whole Discord guild that breaks these Terms or that we suspect of malicious, abusive, or harmful behavior.
09Updates to these terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last revised" date at the top of this page. If you keep using the Bot after an update is posted, you accept the updated Terms.
