Then the red alert
A phishing message reaches MOD at the worst possible moment. The station locks down, the Spam Swarm comes aboard, and every door between you and the way out is shut.

Botzilla: Specimen 01 is a top-down pixel adventure about where Botzilla came from. Hatch on a cozy research station, meet the crew who built you, and learn to swipe and roar. Then a phishing message gets into the station's AI, and home stops being safe.
It also runs inside Discord. See every way to play.
Chapter one
This build is the whole first chapter, from hatching to the escape. Later chapters are still being made, so it ends on a cliffhanger.
Cradle Station is a research station in orbit, full of plants, sticky notes and people who love their work. Dr. B and WordCounter show you around, MOD, the station's AI, keeps everyone on schedule, and a toaster in the break room plays chess better than you do.
You play Botzilla, Specimen 01, fresh out of the egg. You can only say BEEP BOOP and ROAR, and nobody understands either one.
A phishing message reaches MOD at the worst possible moment. The station locks down, the Spam Swarm comes aboard, and every door between you and the way out is shut.
Botzilla's arms are too short to press buttons. Py, a tiny snake made of cyan light who ends up living in Botzilla's chest, can. Swap to Py to slither through vents and under hedges and reach the switches Botzilla can't, then swap back.
Tail Swipe hits what's close. Roar stuns small things and shatters glass. Push pots into place, crack a counting lock, find your way through dark tunnels by the glow of your own spines, and search every plant and bin for Bolts and Battery Fragments.
Your health is a row of battery cells, and you heal by drinking Water Cells. Recharge Pads top you up and save your game.
Spot the bot
Some of the crew are things the bot does in Discord. If you use Botzilla, you'll recognize them.
The medic droid. Reminds everyone to drink water and hands out Water Cells.
/hydrate settingsThe security guard. Always away from keyboard, usually asleep at his desk.
/afkThe Biodome's bee robot. Her honey traps catch anything that can't resist the word FREE.
/honeypot setupA toaster who plays chess and never lets you forget a loss.
/fun chess vs_botThe station's capybara. Nothing has ever bothered Cappy.
/picture capybaraSpecimen 02, the station's archivist. Counts every word, step and mistake out loud.
Where to play
It's the same game everywhere, with keyboard, touch, and Xbox, PlayStation or Switch controllers. The buttons on screen always match the ones you're using.
Nothing to install. On an iPhone or iPad, open it in Safari and tap Share, then Add to Home Screen. It then opens full screen, like an app, and works offline.
It runs as a Discord Activity. In a voice channel or a DM, open the Activities menu (the rocket button) and pick Botzilla, or use the button below.
The app plays offline. Each new version installs over the old one and keeps your save.
Your save, everywhere. Sign in with Discord on the title screen and your save follows you between Discord, your browser and the Android app. Skip it and each one keeps its own save on that device. The game keeps only your Discord ID and name with your save; the Privacy Policy has the details.
Free, about an hour long, and nothing to sign up for.
